SANAA, March 31 (YPA) – 27 NGOs in the United States called on President Joe Biden to give up the “intent” speech towards Russian President Vladimir Putin and launching a constructive dialogue with Moscow.
“As national organizations in support of diplomacy, arms control, disarmament and peace, we are extremely concerned about the recent negative exchange between the leaders of the two countries that own more than 90% of the nuclear warheads in the world,” the organizations said in a letter addressed to Biden on Tuesday.
The organizations added, “We, as Americans, call on the Biden administration to desist from participating in such reckless verbal brawls, and to pursue instead negotiations on nuclear weapons with the Russian government.”
The organizations that signed the letter indicated “Democrats for Justice,” “Blue America,” “Demand for Progress,” “Our Revolution,” and “America’s Advancing Democrats,” which are known for their left-wing tendencies.
This comes after Badin accused Russia of interfering in the US elections, and said that Moscow “will pay the price.”
Biden also responded with “yes” to the journalist’s question about whether he considered Russian President Vladimir Putin a “murderer.”
