Civil defense teams put out major fire in capital Sanaa

SANAA, March 15 (YPA) – The civil defense teams in the capital Sanaa put out a major fire, which broke out in one of the commercial hangers and mechanical workshops in Al-Sabeen district at noon on Monday.

The fire was extinguished before spreading to neighboring homes and stores, said Colonel Mohammed Buhish, director of the civil defense in the capital.

He added that the fire caused material losses but no civilian casualties, indicating that several shops and six cars were damaged, including three on the public street, while one of the houses was partially damaged.

Col. Buhish called for the necessity of commitment to provide means of security and safety in public and private facilities, to reduce fire accidents.
