SANAA, March 15 (YPA) – US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington is seeking to reinvigorate diplomatic efforts with the United Nations to end the Yemeni crisis.
He expressed his country’s aspiration to cooperate with the United Nations envoy for Yemen to end the conflict there and respond to the country’s humanitarian crisis.
US special envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking has spoken of putting forward a new plan for the national salvation government “ Houthi group Ansarullah“ to cease fire in the country.
He said Washington has a coherent nationwide cease-fire plan that includes elements that will allow immediate handling of the harsh humanitarian situation in Yemen.
Ansarallah spokesman Mohamed Abdulsalam said the US envoy’s proposal to Yemen was rejected, calling it a “conspiracy” to put Yemen at a more dangerous stage than it is now.
