SANAA, March 1 (YPA) – Israeli settlers carried out several attacks on Palestinians and their property in the city during their celebrations in Al-Quds city.
In the evening, settlers attacked young men while they were in front of their homes in the Old City of Al-Quds, and when residents went out to check on the matter, verbal altercations took place, and police stormed the place and arrested three residents, and turned them into an investigation.
In the Bab al-Amud and Al-Masrara areas, settlers threw stones at Palestinians’ vehicles as they passed through the area, causing the glass of several vehicles to break down, during which police deployed in the area in large numbers.
In Mea Shearim neighbourhood, West al-Quds, dozens of settlers attacked a bus driver while he was working, surrounded him, and while trying to escape from them, he ran over one of the settlers and announced his death.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the Palestinian driver worked for the medical center “Herzog”, and the driver said that he felt dangerous after they threw stones at him, and tried to escape several times, which led to the run over one of those present at the scene.
Moreover, a group of extremist settlers attacked with stones Palestinian youth in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of the French Hill, critically injuring Mohammad Abu al-Hummos, from Jerusalem’s al-Issawiya town, in the face.
