Islah armored vehicles besiege on Habban tribes in Shabwa

SHABWA, Feb. 04 (YPA) – Islah Party’s military armored vehicles on Thursday surrounded ‘Laqamosh’ tribes in Habban district of Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

A local source in the province said that the Islah militants had deployed in the areas of Najd, Al-Aram and Al-Khobar in the Habban district, and established checkpoints in the same area.

The source indicated that the Islah party, loyal to Saudi-led coalition, reinforced its forces in Morra camp, west of Ataq city, after encircling the Laqamosh tribes’ strongholds in Habban.

The Islah moves come hours after the Laqamosh tribes’ attack on a military post in ‘Jol Al-Raida’ area in Mayfa’a district, which resulted in the killing of Awad Sarghadal, who is accused of killing a member of the tribe called Saeed Mohammed Tajrah in October 2019.
