Palestinian wounded by Zionist enemy in Qalqilya

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – A Palestinian youth was wounded on Saturday evening by bullets from the Zionist enemy during clashes in Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank.
“Palestine Today” agency, quoting local sources, reported that a Palestinian youth was wounded by metal bullets during the clashes that erupted after the enemy forces stormed the town of Jayyus, northeast of Qalqilya.

The enemy forces fired live ammunition, gas and sound bombs, and rubber-coated metal bullets at the youths and homes.

It is noteworthy that the city of Qalqilya is witnessing almost daily similar confrontations at the enemy’s military checkpoints that surround it and the apartheid wall that separates it from the occupied territories in the year 48.

The enemy has also recently resorted to establishing a settlement cordon around the city of Qalqilya, for which it confiscated large swaths of land, and constructed settlement roads that connect these settlements to the occupied interior, at the expense of agricultural lands, in order to block the road to any future horizontal expansion of them.

It is noteworthy that Jayyus is one of the villages in Qalqilya most affected by the separation wall, as most of its agricultural lands have been confiscated, and Jayyus is located 20 km from the city of Tulkarm to the south, and to the east of Qalqilya, and like all the original Palestinian villages, it has a heritage and historical civilization.
