Human Rights Watch holds coalition accountable for continued crimes in Yemen

SAANA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – Human Rights Watch held on Thursday the Saudi-led coalition and its factions the accountable for continuing to commit crimes against citizens in Yemen.

The organization warned in its report that the humanitarian crisis in Yemen has become dangerous deadly with the increase in aid obstruction, the collapse of the country’s economy, the outbreak of the Corona virus, according to the German news agency.

Its report estimated at least 18,400 civilians have been killed or injured since the beginning of the war, and that more than 20 million people need of food aid.

Earlier, the UN team for monitoring human rights violations in Yemen handed over a “secret list” to the United Nations, which included the names of names from the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, accused of committing war crimes in the country.

The Legal Center for Rights and Development revealed in its statistic that about 16,235 people have been and 25, 684 others wounded since the beginning the war imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen in 2015.
