STC militias expel Aden port workers from their homes

ADEN, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias stormed on Wednesday the dwellings of workers in Mualla port, in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, and expelled the workers, local sources said.

The workers were expelled along with their families from the port dwellings, and were replaced them with others people from Dhalea and Yafea areas under the force of arms, the sources explained.

This comes after employees, workers, retirees, and families of the deceased workers at the port of Aden demanded that they be empowered from their compensatory lands that were robbed and seized by influential members of the STC militia.

The sources noted that such acts fall within the framework of armed robbery crimes, in light of the insecurity in the city.
