Algerian presidency confirms improved health of President Tebboune

SANAA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – A source in Algerian presidency confirmed that the Algerian president is responding positively to treatment for infection with the Coronavirus.
The source added on Wednesday that “the president is responding to the treatment plan and steadily improving his health, and he is very optimistic, as he has begun the recovery phase after treatment.”
The denial came after several websites circulated information about the Algerian government’s willingness to announce the news of the president’s death.
In early November, the Algerian presidency officially announced that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had been infected with the new Corona virus, and that he had been transported by private plane to Germany for treatment.
The Algerian presidency explained in a statement, that Tebboune “continues to receive treatment in a specialized German hospital, after he was infected with the new Corona virus.”
The statement added that the medical team “is reassured that the President is responding to treatment and his health condition is gradually improving in accordance with the requirements of the health protocol.”
