Islah militants continue to abduct elderly man for second week in Taiz

TAIZ, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Islah militants abducted an elderly citizen of Jabal Habashi area, Taiz province, central Yemen.

Local sources in the province confirmed that elements of the “17th Brigade” loyal to Islah kidnapped Ali Nasr Mohammed Thabet , 60, from the area of Bani Al-Wafi in Jabal Habshi directorate, two weeks ago.

They took him  to an unknown destination, one of the sources said.

The sources attributed the kidnapping of the citizen to his refusal to give up in a civil judgement case between him and a member of the brigade, after which he was kidnapped.

The sources pointed out that the citizen was threatened by the militants of al-Islah, in an attempt to force him to give up the case.
