Global coronavirus infections exceed 48 million

SANAA, Nov. 5 (YPA) – The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has surpassed 48 million globally according to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University.

The university, which summarizes federal and local authorities’ data, said the most recent information available indicates that the number of confirmed cases of the new Coronavirus in the world has reached 4,800,5784.

The university noted that the number of deaths due to the disease has so far reached 1,224,111.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced a new coronavirus infection worldwide.
