President al-Mashat accuses coalition of obstructing economic file

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, accused on Monday the Saudi-led coalition of obstructing negotiations on the economic file.

In an interview with “26 September” newspaper, al-Mashat held the coalition full responsible for the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen as a result of the continuing war and siege imposed on the Yemeni people.

The President confirmed that America and its Saudi and Emirati tools have drawn plans to destroy Yemen and its economy and exhaust the people.

Al-Mashat warned of the danger of using the economy siege as a war card, stressing importance of continuation in taking measures to protect the national currency.

“We have great steps in this direction, but we hope for rationality and for the public interest to prevail for all the Yemeni people and neutralizing the economy,” al-Mashat added.
