Bahrain intends to launch marine line linking it to Israel

QUDS, Oct. 13 (YPA) – Bahrain intends to launch a direct maritime line with Israel, as one of the steps to normalize relations between the two countries.

Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said, on Tuesday, that the first Bahraini cargo ship would arrive soon from Khalifa bin Salman Port, in Bahrain, to Haifa Port.

The corporation quoted Idni Simkin, General Manager of MSC Israel (a private Israeli shipping company) as saying, “The senior officials in the field of ports and maritime navigation in Bahrain show great interest in strengthening cooperation with Israel.”

On Monday, the UAE and Israel launched a sea line, after announcing the arrival of the first Emirati cargo ship at Haifa Port, directly, from “Jebel Ali” port in Dubai.

“A new sea line will soon begin exporting Israeli products to UAE ports,” The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said on Tuesday.
