SOCOTRA, Sep. 30 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out on Wednesday in the province of Socotra Archipelago, southern Yemen.
A local source on the island stated that the clashes took place near the strategic point of ‘Sarhin’, belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia, with various types of weapons.
This came after the STC militia tried to control over a wide area of citizens’ lands, the source explained, without mentioning any material or human losses.
The source pointed out that the Emirati occupation forces carried out a large military deployment in the Sarhin area.
