Al-Qaeda leader with military rank in coalition forces killed in Marib

MARIB, Sep. 30 (YPA) – A leader in Al-Qaeda organization was killed on Tuesday while participating in the fighting within Saudi-led coalition forces in the battles taking place on the southwestern fronts of Marib province, southeast Yemen.

Captain Yazid Abdurahman Sha’non al-Aqili, one of the al-Qaeda leaders, who was previously granted the position of staff chief of the fifth battalion in the 153rd Infantry Brigade in the coalition forces, was killed in the battles of Al-Jouba front, south of Marib province, according to local sources.

The fronts in the southwest of Marib city are witnessing violent confrontations, in conjunction with a large advance of Sanaa forces towards the city.
