BEIRUT, Sep. 30 (YPA) – Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, on Wednesday accused the United States and Saudi Arabia of thwarting the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to address the economic and political crises in Lebanon.
This came during a direct speech broadcast by local Lebanese channels, on Tuesday, in which Nasrallah addressed Macron, saying: “If you want to search for those who thwarted your initiative outside Lebanon, search for the Americans and the speech of the Saudi king before the United Nations.”
Nasrallah welcomed the French initiative, confirming readiness for dialogue with France and the parties in Lebanon.
He added, “We do not accept that Macron accuses us of treason, and we condemn this behavior.”
