Turkish soldier killed in northern Iraq

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – At least one Turkish soldier has been killed in northern Iraq, The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement.

“One of our heroic comrades was injured by an explosion of ammunition that was detonated by terrorists in the “Tiger’s Claw” operation area in northern Iraq and was immediately taken to hospital, but the doctors’ efforts did not save his life,” the ministry explained .

On June 16, Turkey launched “Tiger’s Claw” operation in the Haftanin region of northern Iraq against PKK members.
