Fierce clashes break out in Shabwa
SHABWA, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Fierce clashes broke out on Tuesday among Islah party’s militias and armed tribesmen in Shabwa province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources declared that the armed tribesmen refused Islah militants’ seizure of containers belonging to UAE-backed Shabwanian elite forces in Nissab district.
The sources confirmed that Islah militants attempted to seize the containers by force.
Islah militiamen established new checkpoints in entries of Nissab district, the sources added.
Islah militants surrounded home of a commander in southern transitional council militias and targeted citizens’ homes and villages by tanks shells.
