UAE invests in anti-Arab Israeli soccer team
ABU DHABI, Sep. 10 (YPA) – Emirati sources revealed on Thursday the UAE’s intentions to invest in Israeli soccer team ‘Beitar Jerusalem’ known for its extremist stances against Arabs and Muslims.
The coming days will witness a series of meetings between Emirati investors (they did not name them) with the team’s owner, the wealthy Israeli businessman Moshe Hogeg, in the first Emirati investment in the field of sports in Israel, the sources added.
The Israeli team enjoys the support of the right-wing and racists in Israel, and bears the name of a Zionist organization, according to the Israeli ’24’ TV channel.
In the context of the acceleration of normalization steps between the two sides, the Israeli city of Petah Tikva, northeast of Tel Aviv, is preparing to open a sports hall bearing the name of the UAE late this month.
