HADHRAMAUT, July 21 (YPA) – About 40 houses were damaged due heavy torrential rains in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen, local sources said on Tuesday.
In the past six hours, Yemen has experienced continuous and heavy rains that have caused significant damage to public and private property, which has not yet been accounted for.
The sources said the damaged houses were located in the historic town of Shibam and were built of mud, adding that the buildings were totally collapsed and others were partially damaged.
Moreover, the sources confirmed that the camps for displaced people in The city of Seiyun were also damaged.
Reports from the province continue to report significant damage to citizens’ homes and property due to the continuous flooding and rains over the past hours.
