HR Ministry condemns Saudi-led coalition war crimes against Saada Province

SANAA, May 12 (YPA) – Ministry of Human Rights strongly condemned the horrific crime committed by the Saudi-led coalition against a whole family of five members by targeting their house by a raid in Dhahyan district of Saada province.

In a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency, the ministry said that these crimes are a continuation of the systematic criminal acts committed by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen in general and in Saada province in particular.

The statement confirmed that the crimes committed by the US-Saudi coalition in Saada province are war crimes that are incompatible with all divine laws, international humanitarian law, human rights law and the UN Charter.

The statement noted that these crimes, committed in Saada province are part of a series of war crimes against humanity and genocide against the Yemeni people.

The Ministry renewed its call for the formation of an international commission to investigate of all crimes and violations that affect Yemenis on a daily basis, in order to strengthen accountability for perpetrators of war crimes.
