Islah militants attack STC’s positions in Abyan

ABYAN, July 6 (YPA) – Al-Islah militants on Monday launched a fierce attack on the positions of the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council ” militia in Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources said.

The source confirmed that al-Islah militants shelled the STC’s positions in al-Taryah area.

The sources said that al-Islah lost several military vehicles on Sunday, during the clashes that broke out in Al-Taryah and Sheikh Salem areas, east of The city of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan.
