15 tons of contraband, counterfeit medicines destroyed in Sanaa

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The Supreme Board of Drugs and Medical Appliances (SBDMA) on Wednesday destroyed 15 tons of contraband and counterfeit medicines.

During the process of destruction, Vice-Chairman of the SBDMA Dr. Ali Abbas highly appreciated the role of the security services in seizing contraband and counterfeit medicines at many outlets and security points.

Dr. Abbas called on citizens and pharmacists to report any expired or contraband drugs, urging doctors and pharmacists to cooperate with the drug alert program at SBDMA to report medicines that do not meet specifications and standards in order to preserve the safety of citizens.
