Water Ministry condemns coalition’s airstrikes on water wells in Kamran island

SANAA, March 31 (YPA) – The Ministry of Water and Environment condemned the airstrikes of Saudi-led aggression on drinking water wells in Kamran Island in Hodeidah province. 

The ministry said in a statement that this shelling on water wells in the island of Kamran is considered the third as it was previously bombed in late 2018 and 2016.

The statement pointed out that these wells are the main and only source of safe drinking water for the island’s residents, stressing that this criminal act will increase the suffering of the island’s population.

The statement called on the United Nations organizations and the Security Council to take responsibility for these criminal acts that are inconsistent with all international norms and laws
