STC welcomes American presence in southern Yemen

SANAA, March 24 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has welcomed the American presence in the occupied provinces, southern Yemen.

“We welcome you to the Arabian Sea,” vice-president of the southern transitional council Hani bin Brek said in a tweet on Monday commenting on a photo of the US Fifth Fleet.

Bin Brek considered that the US forces are coming to combat what he called “terrorism and terrorists,” indicating that the American forces stationed in the Arabian Sea are “the STC’s ally.”

This came after the UAE occupation forces had established several military bases, within the plan of the US-Zionist project in the Arab region.

Last week, two US warships arrived at the oil port of Balhaf in Yemen’s eastern Shabwa province coming from Afghanistan, following the signing that was sponsored by Qatar between Taliban and the United States on an agreement stipulated the gradual withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
