Deputy FM meets Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen

SANAA, Feb.25 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development, Dr. Hussein Makbouli, on Tuesday met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the humanitarian situation in Hodeidah province, the government’s efforts to operate the Ras Kutib power station, its diesel needs, and the possibility of United Nations support for it.

The meeting touched on the human suffering of the people of Duraimi district due to the blockade imposed on the district by the aggression and its mercenaries.

During the meeting, Dr. Makbouli pointed out to the importance of the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations supporting the efforts of the Salvation Government to operate the Ras Kutib power station, providing its needs of diesel and ensuring adequate quantities.

He also pointed out to the importance of the United Nations to carry out its duty and alleviate the suffering of the people of Hodeidah in general and Duraimi in particular.

Dr. Makbouli mentioned the initiatives presented by the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government regarding the implementation of the Sweden agreement and the great intransigence of the aggression party and its tools.
