Hadi’s gov’t imposes new price increase on oil derivatives

ADEN, Feb. 2 (YPA) – The exiled Hadi’s government loyal to Saudi-led coalition on Sunday imposed a new increase on oil derivative prices, adding further burdens on citizens in the occupied provinces.

The petroleum company of Hadi’s government announced raising the price of gasoline from 6,800 riyals to reach 7,200 riyals for 20 liters.

The central bank in Aden justified that the increase in the price of petrol is due to the reasons of bank’s speculating on the price of the dollar, which led to higher prices.

Economists had warned against the Hadi government’s fabricating crises in oil derivatives in the southern provinces, noting that the closure of fuel stations would directly affect citizens’ livelihoods.
