Southern Salvation Council calls for withdrawal of all foreign forces from Yemen
SANAA, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The Yemeni Southern National Salvation Council on Wednesday called for the unconditional withdrawal of all foreign forces from Yemen.
The closing statement issued by the meetings of the first session of the Council, which was held Wednesday in Mahra province, confirmed that the coalition of aggression against Yemen committed brutal massacres against the Yemeni people in general, and the liquidation of its militants from the southern provinces, in particular during the past years.
“Saudi-led coalition countries exploited the people of the southern provinces to plot against Yemen, and to engage them in a futile war in which they have no interest at all,” the statement said.
The statement considered that stopping the war and lifting the blockade imposed on the Yemeni people is an essential step to rescue the country from the overall deterioration, division and fragmentation in all fields.
The council’s statement urged all parties and national political formations to work together to stop the vain war on Yemen.
The statement called on the United Nations, represented by its envoy to Yemen, and regional powers, to make a real and tangible contribution to the immediate cessation of the war, the lifting of the blockade and the normalization of life in all Yemeni provinces.
