External Cases Follow-up Committee discusses cases before int’l tribunals

SANAA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – The Committee on Follow-up of External Cases and Disputes, chaired by Minister of Legal Affairs Dr. Ismail Al-Mahaqari, discussed in its first meeting on Monday in Sanaa the cases before the international arbitration tribunals.

The meeting reviewed legal procedures to be followed by ministries and government institutions to preserve the rights of the state, especially in the issues of electricity, energy, oil and minerals.

At the meeting, Dr. al-Mahaqri stressed the need to move local cases before the national judiciary to demand the state rights.

The minister urged the government agencies to cooperate with the ministry and provide it with files of external cases so that it could protect public funds and defend the state cases.
