Gunmen attack UAE-backed recruits in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Gunmen backed by Saudi forces on Sunday opened fire on recruits belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militia in a popular market in central of Aden province.

Media sources reported that the gunmen surprised soldiers of the so-called Shabwani elite force, who had come to Aden to carry out some tasks, by shooting at them in al-Hashimi market, injuring two of them.

The wounded soldiers were taken to a hospital in the city, the sources added.

Officials in the so-called security belt forces loyal to the UAE confirmed that they identified the perpetrators through oversight cameras and that they are tracking them.
