Parliament reviews Oil, Development Committee’s report
SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The Parliament in its meeting Sunday, chaired by Deputy Speaker Abdulsalam Zabiya, completed the review of the Development, Oil and Mineral Resources Committee’s report on results of its follow-up to the crisis of oil derivatives and domestic gas.
The report included a number of observations in the light of the Committee’s efforts to follow up the crisis.
In its report, the committee urged the government to intensify its field control campaigns to combat the smuggling of oil derivatives and domestic gas, and to eliminate the black market in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The Committee’s report also contained a number of recommendations in this regard.
The Parliament postponed the discussion of this report to the next session in the presence of the competent government side.
