YPC announces arrival of 3 oil ships in Hodeidah port

SANAA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) on Thursday announced the arrival of two vessels carrying 22,000 tons of diesel in the port of Hodeidah along with another ship loaded with fuel oil for Hodeidah electricity plant.

“The first vessel carrying 10,937 tons of diesel arrived at the port of Hodeidah after being held by Saudi-led aggression coalition for 43 days at sea,” the company said in a statement.

The second ship carrying 10,818 tons of diesel arrived at the port after being detained for 49 days at sea, according to the statement.

The company confirmed that the aggression coalition is still holding ten other oil vessels with a load of more than 106,353 tons of gasoline and 159,017 tons of diesel.

The statement added that the amount loaded on the released ships is very few and covers the local needs only for a few days.
