National delegation meets in Muscat with Chinese ambassador to Yemen

MUSCAT, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The national negotiating delegation on Wednesday met in the Omani capital Muscat with Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong.

The delegation discussed with the Chinese ambassador the developments of the situation in Yemen in humanitarian, economic and political aspects.

During the meeting, the national delegation briefed the ambassador on the latest political developments, including the initiative launched by President of the Supreme Political Council, which proved the keenness of the Political Council and the Salvation Government on achieving peace.

The meeting also dealt with the level of relations between the two countries, and the “Silk Road Initiative” project adopted by China and its importance in facilitating trade, development and partnership between China and the world.

The Chinese ambassador confirmed his country’s support for peace efforts in Yemen.
