SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Boarder areas between Marib and Shabwa provinces, eastern Yemen, on Wednesday witnessed bloody events as a result of Islah Party’s decision to transport crude oil from Safer oilfield in Marib to Ayath area of Shabwa.
“Armed clashes erupted between Islah’s militias and gunmen in al-Makhtam area in Marib province during the process of transporting crude oil from the oilfields of Safer to Ayath area and then to the oil port of al-Nushayma in Shabwa,” sources briefed on the events told Yemen Press Agency.
The clashes resulted in several dead and wounded from both side, the sources added.
