Saudi-backed Islah party sends reinforcement to Abyan

SHABWAH, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Islah party sent on Wednesday military reinforcement from Yemen’s southern province of Shabwah to Abyan, sources said.

The reinforcement, including artillery and military vehicles with crews, headed to Shakra city.

The reinforcement came amid tensions and military escalation in the south of Yemen between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s forces.
