Al-Houthi congratulates Tunisia, it’s newly elected president

SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohamed Ali al-Houthi congratulated Tunisia and its newly elected president Kais Saied.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to the Tunisian people for the success of the presidential elections, and we congratulate his Excellency Tunisian President Kais Saied on his victory,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said in a tweet on Sunday.

“We wish the people of Tunisia good progress under the new regime, hoping that they will take sides in the issues of the nation in practice as expressed by the elected president in a different position, and in keeping with the aspirations of the people and their European positions,” he added.

Kais Saied is a former professor of constitutional law who won Tunisia’s presidential election, far ahead of his rival, businessman Nabil Karoui, according to a poll published by Tunisian state television.
