Head of entertainment authority surprises Saudis with strange decision

SANAA, Sept. 8 (YPA) – Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has on Saturday called today called for the closure of the agency’s social media account “temporarily”, until access to content that conveys the idea of real entertainment.

“I have been very patient with the entertainment authority’s accounts and its living on social Media,” sheikh said on Twitter page.

” I am the head of the entertainment authority, I got a headache due to the content that they put down,” he added

“So I urgently ask them to temporarily suspend the accounts and retweet from Sunday with content that conveys the real entertainment thought and reflects how far we have come,” he said.

Turki Al-Sheikh was appointed as the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority after he was president of the Sports Authority last December.
