Update: Yemeni army destroys Saudi Abrams vehicle in Jizan

JIZAN, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on late Wednesday managed to destroy a Saudi Abrams vehicle loaded with mercenaries hired by Saudi-led coalition in Jizan region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army forces destroyed the Saudi Abrams in al-Amud area, using a Kornet rocket, killing and injuring all those on board.

Meanwhile, the artillery unit of the army bombed gatherings of Saudi troops and mercenaries in the east part of Khuba district and East of Dood Mountain, leaving deaths and injuries in their ranks.

Earlier in the day, the Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said that army forces fired a medium-range ballistic missile targeting Saudi-led coalition joint operation rooms in Samedah area of Jizan region.

He confirmed that the missile hit its target with high accuracy. The missile strikes left a large number of dead and wounded, including leaders, he added.
