Islah militias kidnap Omani citizen in Marb

MARIB, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The Islah party militias have been holding an Omani citizen inside one of its prisons in Ma’rib province since a year ago, after he was kidnapped. This was reported by Omani sources on Wednesday.

The Omani citizen Sadiq Al Issa said that his friend Ali Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, hailing from Sohar state in Oman, is still behind bars in Ma’rib, after he was kidnapped from his vehicle at a checkpoint in Yemen and taken to the Security Directorate in Marib nearly a year ago.

Al Issa pointed out that the man has nothing to do with the war in Yemen.

Al-Issa appealed to the honorable people of Yemen to intervene in orde to release Al Sheikh, for the sake of his children who are waiting for him to return safely.

For his part, the Omani Professor Haider Al Lawati has called on all the people of Yemen to intervene in order to free Al Sheikh
