Army Spokesman reveals 3rd generation of Burkan long-range ballistic system

SANAA, Aug. 2 (YPA) – Yemeni army spokesman revealed on Friday the third generation of Burkan long-range ballistic missile system and its ability to hit military targets and vital in the depth of the countries of aggression.

Armed forces spokesman Brigadier-General Yehia Sari said at a news conference  that the missile force succeeded in hitting a military target in Dammam in the depth of the Saudi, using a long-range ballistic missile “Burkan-3”.

Sari said that the ballistic missile “Burkan-3” ballistic is the third generation of a long-range Burkan system which has the capability of hitting targets in the length and width of the geography of the countries of aggression.

The spokesman of the armed forces added that that the missile “Burkan-3″has undergone successful experimental operations and technology development to bypass the enemy’s interceptor systems.

Sari said the ballistic missile “Burkan-3” made in Yemen and was developed with modern technology and fixed bases and mobile.

The press conference of the Armed Forces spokesman witnessed a video presentation of the moment when the ballistic missile “Burkan-3” was launched Thursday from inside Yemeni territory on a Saudi military target in the Saudi depth in the Dammam area.
