Army inflicts heavy casualties on coalition militias in Jawf

JAWF, April 9 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday inflicted heavy casualties on  militias backed by Saudi-led coalition in sites in Jawf province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army waged an attack on sites of the militias in Sabrain area of Khab Washaf district, killing and injuring several of the militias.

Earlier in the day,  a number of the militias were killed and wounded in a bomb blast that targeted military vehicle in al-Maton district in the same province, the official added.

The coalition launched war on Yemen in March 2015 in flagrant violations of the international conventions and Yemen’s sovereignty.
