Yemen’s Women Union condemns Sunday’s coalition massacre in Sawan area

SANAA, April 9 (YPA) – Yemeni Women’s Union on Tuesday strongly condemned the Sunday massacre committed by the Saudi-led coalition’s fighter jets against citizens in Sawan area of the capital Sanaa.

The union in a statement said targeting populated areas is a war crime and genocide against the Yemeni civilians and the human rights law.

The Sunday’s fighter jets, which waged air strikes on residential square in Sawan area in Sanaa, killing dozens citizens and wounding others.

The statement called on the international community to pressure on the coalition states to stop the war and end its crimes committed on the Yemeni people.

It called for the Yemeni army to respond on the coalition’s crimes and violations against Yemenis.
