Woman killed in coalition militia’s shelling in Taiz

TAIZ, April 7 (YPA) – A woman was killed and others people wounded on Sunday in artillery shelling of militias loyal to Saudi-led coalition on a citizen’s home in al-Salw district of Taiz province.

A security official told Yemen Press Agency that the militia fired dozens of artillery shells on al-Akhni village of the district targeting Ghaleb Ali Thabit’s house, which resulted in the killing of his wife and injuring his sons with serious wounds.

On another hand, the army forces carried out an offensive on the coalition militias in al-Aqrodh front in Taiz, causing heavy losses to them.

The city of Taiz has been witnessing bloody clashes between armed groups and gangs affiliated to ISlah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) and Nasserite Party and followers of the Salifist leader known Abu al-Abbas.
