35 people Killed in Afghan floods

SANAA, March 31 (YPA) – At least 35 people have been killed in floods in northern and western Afghanistan over the past 24 hours.

“Sudden floods after heavy rains have killed 35 people and destroyed more than 3,000 homes,” said the spokesman for the national disaster management in Afghanistan.

Heavy rains began early on Friday, killing 17 people in the northern state of Faryab and Balkh, and 18 others in Heart and Badghis cities in the west part.
