President al-Mashat congratulates Dr. al-Maqaleh on winning Prince of Poets Award

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – A presidential delegation on Saturday visited Dr. Abdulaziz al-Maqaleh at the Studies and Research Center in the capital Sanaa to congratulate him on winning the Prince of Poets Award, granted by Ahmed Shawki Prize Committee in Egypt.

“We were entrusted by President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat to convey his congratulations to Dr. al-Maqaleh among his students and lovers and the cultural elites in the center,” said Mohamed al-Wareeth, head of the media department of the presidential office.

Al-Wareeth added that all Yemeni people express their pride and appreciation for the great cultural and civilizational role played by Dr. al-Maqaleh during his scientific and practical life filled with giving.

Last Wednesday, the Committee of the Prince of Poets Ahmed Shawki Prize awarded Dr. al-Maqaleh the title of Prince of Poets; in recognition of his creative and cultural works, and he is the first Arab poet to receive the award from outside Egypt.

During his literary career, Dr. al-Maqaleh has won many Arab and international certificates and awards , as a lecturer, poet, critic, and literary writer of the first level.
