Saudi foreign minister will arrive carrying message from Saudi crown prince

SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said his Saudi counterpart Ibrahim al-Assaf would arrive in Pakistan carrying a special message from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

In an interview with local television, Qureshi said Saudi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf was expected to arrive in Pakistan and carry a special message from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad, who visited Pakistan and India earlier this month.

Qureshi said his country was ready to return the Indian pilot who was arrested this week after his plane was shot down by the Pakistan Air Force, “if that will help ease the recent tension with neighboring India.”

Pakistan and India on Wednesday traded accusations of dropping their fighter jets in a dangerous escalation of the standoff between the two nuclear powers, raising fears of a full-scale war between them.

To defuse the crisis, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan called for talks with India, warning of possible catastrophic consequences if “logic is not arbitrated”.
