Dozens of Zionist settlers desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Zionist settlers desecrated, on Tuesday morning, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem said that dozens of settlers desecrated Al-Aqsa in successive groups and organized provocative tours of its courtyards.

It explained that the intruders received explanations about the alleged “temple” and performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the eastern area of the mosque.

The occupation police imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to the mosque, checked their personal IDs, and detained some of them at its gates.

They also prevented Al-Aqsa guards from approaching the settlers’ path during the incursion.

Widespread calls continue from Jerusalem for the people of Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories to mobilize and defend Al-Aqsa Mosque to thwart the plans of the occupation and its settlers.

They stressed the importance of heading intensively to Al-Aqsa and performing prayers there, considering this a practical step to confront the occupation’s measures and break its attempts to isolate the mosque from its popular and religious surroundings.
