Egyptian transport minister resigned after Cairo’s train accident

SANAA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – Egyptian transport minister Hisham Arafat on Wednesday resigned after a train accident that killed at least 25 people and injured 05 others, according to local media.

On Wednesday, a speeding train crashed into a barrier at Cairo’s central train station causing a huge fire outbreak after its fuel tank exploded.

Egypt’s Prime minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly visited the scene of the crash and announced that the incident would be investigated.
