With beginning of 4th year of steadfastness, President launches state-building project
SANAA, March 26 (YPA) – President Saleh Al-Sammad announced on Monday the launch of the state-building project in conjunction with the start of the fourth year of steadfastness in the face of the aggression.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis flew to Al-Sabeen Square in the capital Sanaa coming from several provinces to mark the third anniversary of steadfastness in the face of the aggression, which began on March 26, 2015.
The participants held flags of the Republic of Yemen and banners expressing the continued steadfastness in the face of the aggression.
In his speech to the masses, the president referred that this trend comes in parallel with the battle of repelling the aggression on various fronts.
“As we launch this project, we know that the road is long and filled with challenges, but as we have been steadfast in the fight fronts …, we will be more capable at the level of the challenge to build the state,” the president said.
The president stressed that the state is not only buildings with boards and staff, but the state in its essence is an institutional work governed by laws and regulations.
“We realize that our battle today in defending Yemen is a battle to regain its independence and build the state,” he said
The president pointed out that the messages sent by the missile force to the aggression countries were messages of peace.
He reiterated that Yemen is with a just and honorable peace that guarantees the freedom and dignity of the Yemeni people.
“If they want peace, we are with peace as we said,” he said, adding that if the air raids continued, “we have the right to defend ourselves and by all available means.”
“We will deal with any initiatives that lead to the cessation of the aggression, lifting the siege and sitting at the table of dialogue,” al-Sammad said.
He called on the internal national forces involved in the aggression to engage in a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to solve the problems.
The president praised achievements of the army and popular committees on the various fronts, as well as the successful progress in the military capabilities, especially in the missile force and the air and naval defense forces.
