RIYADH, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Saudi Cabinet in its weekly meeting on Tuesday indicated to the holding of the first round of political consultations between the Kingdom and Germany, a few months after the end of diplomatic rupture between the two countries.
The consultations included bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing joint cooperation to combat extremism and terrorism, as well as discussing a number of international and regional issues, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.
Saudi-German relations experienced a setback in November 2017 and continued until last October, when Saudi Arabia withdrew its ambassador from Germany after the then German Foreign Minister Zygmar Gabriel accused the kingdom of holding Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
